Thanks for stopping by. I'm Katie Rose, a New Yorker by way of Kansas. My favorite things include eating good food, reading good books, snugging my french bulldog, Lily, and spending time with my husband, Al. I try to not take life too seriously, but I am serious about living a happy life.
I started The Rose Record as a way to share our activities in NYC with our friends and family members near and far. It quickly grew to be a place where I could elaborate on the good things in life - from recipes to clothes to books to gifts. I write as if I'm talking to a girlfriend about a new great discovery or a time-honored tip. I hope you'll settle down and take in a few of good things - and share a few of yours too!

While your here, a bit about this family of mine...
My husband, Al, is my partner in lounging and laughing. We met in college and moved to NYC together, almost six years ago. He works incredibly hard and will do anything for his girls (me and Lily). Al has a passion for 80's pop music, baseball, autobiographies, and rewatching The Godfather. He keeps me sane and happy and I feel lucky every single day.
Lily Mayo Rose is more than just our dog. She's the light of our lives and is truly thought of like our child. She’s a three year old french bulldog and spoiled rotten. Our life pretty much revolves around her constant need
of naps, snugs, and people food. She has champion blood-lines, but lacks obedience. Lil loves laying in laps, sleeping till 11, and chasing pigeons.

ReplyDeleteHi Sadie! I actually know your sister! We went to Southwest together, but then I went to LHS and she went to Free State. (My maiden name is Loyd). I must have discovered your blog when looking at Emmie's (beautiful) wedding pictures. Can't wait to be blogger friends (and thanks for the shout out!).
